  1. File I/O: how to read and write text files.

  3. To Read a File:
  4. Click Read File in the first frame to choose a file from a standard file dialog.
  5.  
  6. Click Read Line to read the first line of the text file. Continue to click Read Line until the dialog alerts you to the end of the file. Click Done to return.
  7.  
  8. To Write a File:
  9. Click Write File in the first frame to open a standard save file dialog. Name the file and click Save.
  10.  
  11. Type a line of text then click Write Line. Repeat these steps to continue writing lines of text. Click Done to return.
